Pouring rain and cool temperatures did little to dampen the spirit of the approximately 20,000 fans who turned out for the 22nd annual KISS concert to benefit the Genesis fund. Highlights of the concert included the Corrs, the Irish group consisting of three sisters and a brother, who did several numbers, including their hit "Breathless". The lead singer, Andrea, removed her shoes and danced happily around the stage and also played the flute when she was not singing. The group was delightful. Lee Ann Womack performed her song "I Hope You Dance" while dressed in white jeans with embroidered red roses and a matching red top. Lionel Ritchie did a mixture of new and old, performing "Angel" and "All Night Long" as part of his set. He had the audience enthusiastically participating on the latter. Jessica Simpson gave a lively performance accompanied by both male and female dancers and sang the title song of her new CD, "Irresistible", among others. Samantha Mumba also gave a good performance. Amidst firecrackers and confetti, Ricky Martin danced around the stage, performing "Allez, Allez", among several songs. The finale was performed by Aerosmith and they were well received by the crowd. All in all, it was a great day with many talented performers.
